My goal is to find meaningful units where students can explore “an inch wide and a mile deep” to experience a full range of Musical Concepts & Skills. In each music class period, students Create, Perform, Respond and Connect to music using activities such as these:
- A physical & vocal WARM-UP
- Steady beat activities (movement and dancing)
- Rhythm activities (reading & playing)
- Melody activities (singing & playing)
- Harmony activities (singing & playing)
- Music Literacy activities (note reading)
- Listening activities (songs & stories)
