June 12: Don’t be afraid to let them show…“True Colors” written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly. This song was a number one hit for Cyndi Lauper in 1986. I have chosen the version sung by Marina & The Diamonds, and I also love Eva Cassidy’s version and Justin Timberlake & Anna Kendrick’s version from the movie “Trolls”. But my absolute favorite is the version sung by the GFS Chorus; good luck in your concerts today & tonight!

June 10: It’s life’s illusions, I recall; I really don’t know life at all…. “Both Sides Now” by Joni Mitchell.
For me, this song is about understanding that we think about the same things in many different ways, so it’s ironic to me that, as I searched for lyric videos, I learned that many people think that the first word of this song is “Rows” even though I would have sworn it was “Bows”.
(The “Joni Mitchell Anthology” and the “Great Songs of the Sixties” songbooks both say “Bows”, but the lyric page on the Joni Mitchell website says “Rows”. Here is an article that mentions the discrepancy.)
What did you think it was?? E-mail me at suzanne@proppmail.com. And, when you’re done thinking about this, check out another incredible video with Joni, Mary Travers & Mama Cass)
