July 26: She went to find a jolly hour on the trolley and she found my heart instead… “The Trolley Song” from “Meet Me In St. Louis” from 1944. This song was written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and sung here by Judy Garland. In memory of my wonderful mother-in-law, Vera Ruth Winston Propp, whose genius parents, Irwin & Alice, moved Vera and her brother Peter from Germany to St. Louis at the beginning of World War II. We are forever grateful. LYRICS SPOTIFY
